Smaller backpack if you want to walk the National Park on the main headland of Noosa. Pack lots of water and some snacks in there and maybe a towel to have a swim at Tea Tree Bay. Light clothing, singles and shorts. Less material the better
Good walking shoes to do the National Park, or A-Bay if you're a nudist (4 klm walk).
Bring a good hat to avoid sunburn, and sunglasses for the glare and sight seeing.
Sandles, Thongs, Jandels, Flip Flops, whatever you call them, they are great for the beach or trudging around town. SUNSCREEN SPF 30+
Sun is very savage in Queensland All methods of film are catered for in Noosa, be it 35 m film, Advantax, or Digital. Big towel for the Beach and a portable beach tent to hide from the sun.
Surf Board or Body Board to surf at Main Beach or the patrolled areas of Sunshine Beach

This is the Poet's Corner Restaurant with gallery downstairs mentioned in my "Off the beaten path" pages.
The paved area continues on to the right, past more and more shops designed to remove your hard-earned from you pocket. Of course, I didn't succumb. No, really. No, that wasn't me buying those delicious made-on-the-premises lollies. Someone who looked like me perhaps! I wish.
The lovely tree lined streets and sheer variety of items available make this a shoppers paradise.

We actually stayed in Tewantin with family but we spent a bit of time in Noosa also. It was very busy when we were there but I'm told it is like that all year round...
Noosa is in Queensland and is about an hours drive north of Brisbane...depending on the traffic. Try not to drive at 'peak hour' (as people drive to and from work) when the roads are very busy...it will make the trip a lot slower... ;) We found out the hard way...
