Hostel:
We really wanted to stay in the Port Douglas YHA which we'd hread great things about, that was fully booked, so was the other hostel in town so we got into this one.
Expensive for AU$27 per night, but it was an en-suite room with 5 sharing. The light kept going out in our bathroom, we told the people about it twice and it was never fixed.
The place had a leaf covered swimming pool, and a small, not very clean kitchen.
Did have a nice communal area up stairs and also a good bar downstairs where you can get hot food.
I have stayed in nicer places but I have also stayed in worse, ok for one night. It is close to the high street.

SIMPLY THE BEST
I have stayed in many a Hostel, in more that 15 countries around the world, but this is SIMPLY THE BEST.
A friendly staff, large rooms, pool, bar, BBQ, huge TV rooms, cleanliness and much more makes this one of the most outstanding Hostels in the world.
The location, near to fantastic beaches and a buzzing town centre only adds to all the good things going for the place.
I can not recommend ParrotFish enough.
