If you are in Stanthorpe, Queensland, Australia do stay here.
Now this was all by chance as I was wanting a motel right in town so we could walk to our evening venue.....but a room or two on this Saturday was proving hard to find...I later found out there was a big church conference on this particular weekend.
So when I finally called Murray Gardens all they had left were cottages and it was a few minutes drive into town...too far to walk for our party.
But the cost of 2 Motel rooms compared to the cottage with two bedrooms was favourable and 'beggars cannot be choosers' so we 'went for' the cottage with the log fire.....and our stay was a wonderful experience and we would go back any time.
Ha Ha We were so excited our first photo showed the VT Flag upside down!
Unique Quality: Well 'unique' is not the correct term from the point of view of English grammar but some very special things were: the log fire in our cabin called 'Abigale'; the area was pet friendly (we could have brought our three terrors); the RSL bus would have taken us into town if we needed a ride; and there was a wonderful German Shepherd dog on site....Oh and there is a free gym.
The complex is disabled friendly, has free wi fi, and a guest laundry
And a joy to parents the complex is 'kid friendly' as well......They can look for 'Garry" (see website)
The complex is set on 17 acre of beautiful land in the country known as The Granite Belt.
In fact the Motel motto is
"Stay, Play, or Chill Out"
