Three friends and I booked a 4-bed dorm here in advance for $35 per person for one night- when we arrived the manager told us because it was a busy night that the rate had gone up to $45 per person AND he put us in a 6 bed dorm so we no longer had privacy for ourselves- thats not even the worst of it- when we arrived home at night from the good vibrations festival THERE WERE OTHER PEOPLE IN OUR BEDS- the night manager apologised and told us we would be refunded our money and let us sleep on the couches until 2 beds opened up an hour later- he still assured us we wouldnt have to pay- in the morning the other manager basically laughed in our faces when we tried to get a refund and completely denied that they had done anything wrong!!!!!! and then the night manager came out and agreed with him!!!! we even said "you guaranteed us beds and when we got home we didnt have any" to which he replied "what guarantee?" DO NOT STAY HERE- if you pay youre not even guaranteed your bed will be free when you come home at night!

One of Surfers' oldest attractions is the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum. Take a self guided tour, through individually themed galleries, featuring hundreds of the worlds most unbelievable exhibits, amazing stories, magic, mystery, incredible illusions, fun interactive displays and two unforgettable movies. Tour lasts up to an hour or more.
Surfers Paradise grew from just one hotel to a huge entertainment city in a very short period of time. The surf actually isn't the best on the east coast, but it's the party place of the Gold Coast. It's close to a lot of the Gold Coast theme parks aswell.
