Currumbin - 500 thousand visitors annually!
by Jerelis
The Sanctuary offers close encounters with creatures of all shapes and sizes to the nearly 500 thousand visitors who enter the park annually.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary also has activities to complement the native animals and plants on show. Experience the Dreamtime when Aboriginal dancers reveal ancient stories and myths through tribal song, dance and fire making. Our miniature steam train winds throughout the park providing visitors with a description of what the Sanctuary has to offer.
Surfers Paradise, if they could afford it
by DSwede
While the beaches are wonderful, the surf near continuous, and the weather is wonderful, Surfers Paradise is quickly growing and upscaling to be cost prohibitive for the people it was named after.
That being said, it is a lovely area on the Gold Coast, about 35 minutes south of Brisbane.
My stay here consisted of walking the beach, the central area and spending several days on a houseboat.
