Well 20 cigarettes will cost you about 7-8 dollars I think.
MacDonalds meal will be about $5.00-$6.00
Microwave meals are from $3.50-$6.00
A 2 litre bottle of milk is about $3.50
Eggs about $2.50+ for 6
Half a kilo of skinless chicken fillets - $6.50

The prices depend on where you shop. The eggs I buy are free range so you could get cheaper ones. And of course supermarkets have their specials every week.

Hope this helps...

A fairly accurate rule of thumb is what you spend in pounds we pay in dollars. I don,t smoke but think a packet costs $11 - $15. Can of coca cola $1.60, pub meals from $10 up average would be $20 plus drinks.

Travel Tips for Surfers Paradise

Fosters Lager.

by Jerelis

Let’s make no secret of it. We both like a nice cold glass of beer. Being abroad is always a challenge to find a beer we like, which reflects our taste of having a beer. In Australia it was sometimes rather difficult. We found out that there are quite some local beers, only known in that particular area. But anyway, we did like the international known Foster’s Lager.

Fosters was founded in Melbourne in 1886 by two American brothers, William and Ralph Foster, who happened to own a refrigeration plant, which was necessary to brew beer in Australia's hot climate. Foster's Lager uses the slogan "The Amber Nectar" in Australia. While popular in many countries, particularly where it is brewed locally, Foster's Lager does not enjoy widespread popularity in Australia by any means. It struggles to compete with a large number of other "local beers" (low-cost and mass-produced varieties) usually depending on state, for example XXXX, Carlton Draught, Tooheys, Coopers, West End, Swan, Emu Bitter or Victoria Bitter.

King Tutts Putt Putt

King Tutts Putt Putt is a unique, fully themed mini golf challenge which is located in the heart of Surfers Paradise. They have three courses to choose from- two 18 hole indoor courses and also an 18 hole outdoor course.

After playing a round or two of mini golf you can have a go at the shooting gallery they have there.
