Excellent value for money at the Islander resort at Surfers Paradise. Staff very friendly and a great gelp with local tips and attractions. Rooms were very comfortable. The islander resort is close to shops and restaurants and also the bus stop so it is easy to get to anywhere that you cannot walk to.
This is a strange place to stay. Its half hotel and half hostel. The hostel side is nice enough for a hostel, decent rooms, bathroom tv and balcony. The hotel side looks a bit smarter and leads out on to the pool, bar and outside bar area.
You get what you pay for, nothing special but in Surfers Paradise your going to spend most of your time in a bar or on a beach anyway.
I would recommend this place as it is in a good location for the main strip and everything you need.
Unique Quality: Pool, beer garden, music outside, a good place to spend the day and warm up for a night out. Food available at the bar, fairly reasonable price.
