The Sanctuary is an oasis, located in the centre of Australia's popular holiday destination, the Gold Coast. With over 27 hectares of landscaped surrounds and bush land catering for over 1400 mammals, birds and reptiles, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary offers a unique natural experience.
Surfers Paradise

"Surfers Paradise"
Here we are at last. Surfers paradise. One of the most well known places in Queensland! Leah’s been wanting to come here for years and I have always delayed it. But this time around it was time to come to this great place.
The main reason for coming to Gold Coast was that, last year, I was asked to be the wedding photographer for a long lost friend. Even though I protested and pointed out my weaknesses both technically, organizationally and creativity, Shoko appeared to be convinced that I should still be the photographer . For a year leading to this wedding event, I have been looking at how to do wedding photography and this was my first event on my own. With not much gear to work with.
Initially the plan was to take 3 days off work. That is 23rd drive to Gold Coast, do the wedding on 24th and then drive back to Sydney on Anzac day. This was the most ideal scenario for me especially financially.
I told Leah about this trip few months back as a courtesy. This idea must have sank right in and settled in an instant that she got excited, looked for accommodation and booked for accommodation! So there was that. Flight, accommodation, transportation and theme parks all settled for the price of $AU3,300.00. The only thing we have to worry about is pretty much the food we were going to eat.
Did I mention this was going to be a seven day thing? No? This wedding thing I was meant to do was for 24th of April. I had all the plans for to be up here in Queensland no more than 3 days max. With Leah taking control of the whole trip, we found us to be here for 7 days. When just about everything was organized. I got an email from her saying is it ok if she tags along together with the kids? Erm.. sure.. I don’t mind… not like I really had much choice anyway.
So 23rd of April we fly to Gold Coast and be here and flying back on 30th of April. In seven days we have a wedding to attend to (well I do), three theme parks to go to; Movie World, Wet and Wild and Sea World, a birthday to do (Jaehryn turning 4 years of age 28th of April).
