Must See/do?
Hi all
My girlfriend and i are visiting surfers from Adelaide in January. I was just wondering what are some of the things I must see and or do while on the Gold Coast. Apart from the obvious dream world and the rest of the parks what else is in or near the Gold Coast that I must see.
Also we are planning to go out and have some drinks a few times while we are there. What are some of the good pubs and clubs that we should visit. Im sure there are heaps I would just like to know which are considered to be the best or must see.

Sorry to be so long in answering - but I am new to this.
Surfers Paradise is the centre and contains numerous clubs.Mostly in Orchid Ave.
Melbas in Cavill Ave is the best, well patronised by locals and visitors, bar downstairs (watch the locals at play) disco up. Jupiters Casino has a very popular bar..
As for what to do jump on the web and look at he Gold Coast Visitors Bureau site.
Ballooning is very popular (if you can get up early !) You can drive a Subaru around a rally track. Boat cruises to Stadbroke Island or through the canals, Joy Flight from Coolangatta are spectacular, High Speed Boats rides, Para-Sailing Bungy Jumping, Bushwalking in spectacular rain forests. The list is endless.

Head to Mount Tambourine if you dont enjoy thrill rides.
It is a short drive away from Surfers Paradise.
You can spend the whole day there and wait for the glow worms to shine at night.
The view is beautifully awesome at the top.
