Hostel

AU$22 per night, I stayed here at the end of July 2005.
All I had to do was phone the hostel from the coach station and they came to pick me up.
I was in a 6 bed en-suite sharing with three great Irish girls, the room had a much needed fan and a fridge.
They have a great cinema style tv room, with lots of books to swap and videos to watch, out door seating, a spa pool and a nice, large kitchen with a lot of hobs and equipment to use.
It is about a 10-15 min walk into the centre so by backpacker standards it is a little out of the way, but better for it I thought.
The manager was great, he gave me lots of local information- to go to visit the Anzac Park, the outdoor swimming pool and to climb Castle Rock which was great.
Through this hostel I booked my trip to Magnetic Island- the ferry crossing and two nights accommodation for AU$50!! Not bad I thought.
