LESLIE DAM [LAKE LESLIE]
Leslie Dam is the water supply for Warwick.
It is located only 12 kilometres west of Warwick, and is an area that has an abundance of nice picnic areas.
Not only that, it is very good for fishing, as the local fish stocking group have stocked it with large numbers of Golden Perch, Silver Perch and Murray Cod. Other Fish that can be caught are Spangled Perch and Eel-Tailed Catfish.
If you have a Boat, all the better, as there are no boating restrictions on Lake Leslie.
There is concrete boat launching ramp not far from the dam wall. You can enjoy water-skiing, fishing on the dam in your boat, and enjoy other water sports.
There are many large boulders around the fringes, I did notice some people had been dropped off by boat, and were fishing here, perhaps it is a good area.
I went for a walk along the Spillway wall, as far as I could go. The dam wasn't very full, but still picturesque.
Location is at.....578 Leslie Dam Road, 12km from Warwick
