Adelaide's Best

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on February 12, 2007

It's expensive, but probably worth it (add a couple of bucks for the Hilton name), but the fact that I wasn't paying was a bonus. The rooms were really nice, everything I needed - bed, table, lounge, desk, bathroom, minibar, tv etc, and it had a pool, gym (pretty small though), tennis court and so on. It did had restaurants that I never really looked at (was at a catered conference)- but they looked ok. The service was great - all what you would expect, and the concierge was very helpful. It was around Christmas and there were chocolate displays which were amazing.

Would definately recommend this hotel for anyone who's got the money (or when someone else is paying!!)

Unique Quality: The views were great - my room looked right over the park. The sounds of the church bells got kinda old quickly, but that can't be helped - specially in the city of churches!!

Great location and amenities

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)

I have not actually stayed here, but received a tour of the whole place by the events coordinator. The standard rooms are really nice and the deluxe ones are amazing - newly remodelled and beautiful! The whole hotel is impressive.

Unique Quality: Great view, outdoor tennis court and running track on one of the lower floor roofs alongside a great gym. Outdoor pool. HUGE state of the art conference and event facilities. Incredible restaurant on main floor. Executive club on top floor is amazing!

Directions: Perfect location just on Victoria Square (next to the Glenelg Tram stop). Three blocks from Rundle Mall (shopping district). Across the street from the main post office. 4-5 blocks from the train station. 10 minute taxi ride from the airport.
