Hello everyone on this forum - bit late for information for the Adelaide visit, but I work on Hutt Street and there is a budget travellers hotel - I just can't remember the name of it right now. I work at 134 Hutt and it is probably 2 blocks up so maybe around 160 or so...... just in case there is someone else out there needing this information.
To the traveller I hope you got here O.K. and had a fantastic time - I have lived here all my life and it is the best place - hope you thought so too.
PS - I am pretty sure this is the name of the Hotel/Hostel....will check over the next few days and repost
Unique Quality: I haven't stayed here, but located on Hutt St it is amongst some of the most amazing food outlets, many of which have received write ups not only in local papers and magazines but also international
Directions: Lots of fabulous cafes and restaurants
This hostel is centrally located and provides pickup and drop off from the train or bus station. The hostel itself isn't too much special, but the staff are friendly, and free coffee/tea is always available, and they have free rice nightly and free cheesecake. The hostel is also very helpful in helping guests find work in Adelaide. (Casual work, usually fruit picking). There is internet access, and linen is included.
Unique Quality: The hostel has tonnes of information on things to do in Adelaide, and tours to the surrounding regions. If you book with them, you often receive a discount on certain tour packages.
*note* their free call number as advertised in magazines and on their website, doesn't work, so call the other number listed
