Airport of Aidelaide
Recently the airport of Adelaide have been renovated. It is now a brand new one. The airport is big/huge. You cannot be lost up here. If you want, you can go with the passenger to the gate and say goodbye over there.

Hi folks,
I will be popping in Adelaide in August and would like to know what are the "must-visit" places in the city. I will only have 3 days so would like to make the most out of my visit. Thanks a million! :)
Adelaide boasts one of the finest wine regions in the world - the Barossa and Clare Valley's. My tip would be to either hire a car and take a trip out there (only about an hour away from the CBD) or join a day trip on a minibus(they depart daily from the CBD). The problem with the first option is that obviously you can't sample wines etc as you'll have to drive back but still worth the trip as the scenary is beautiful. The problem with the second option is that you'll be dictated to as to which wineries you go to and how long you'll get to stay there. A stop-off at the little german town of Hahndorf can usually be incorporated into this itinarary.
We of course have the usual things such as art gallaries, zoo and musuems which are easily located in the CBD. Take a picture of the mall's balls - they've just shined them up!
Within the city you could also do a city sights tour which will take you to the main places but the CBD is pretty small and you'll be able to walk most places. Those a little more out of the way are Adelaide Oval (if you're interested in cricket) and the Old Adelaide Jail.
There is a tram that goes from the CBD down to the seaside suburb of Glenelg where you can grab a bite to eat by the beach.
If you have a bit of money to spend then you could take a day trip over to Kangaroo Island too. You can organise that locally too through your hotel if you're interested but beware it will probably cost upwards of $300.
Hope this helps!
do visit the art gallery. it's free and the exhibits there are great!
central market is a 'must-see'.
we had a car and drove to many places and the mclaren wine area is our choice over the more well-known barossa valley.
you'll enjoy adelaide....we certainly did.
Following on from the great advise given by others, Hahndorf in the Afelaide Hills is worth a visit - http://www.walkabout.com.au/locations/SAHahndorf.shtml
We also liked the Immigration Museum and close enough o walk is North Adelaide with quaint shops/restaurants etc as well as well preserved older homes.
Virtualtourist is amazing (sure beats any guide book).... thanks for all the great answers, do keep them coming if there's anymore :)

Unlike the rest of the country, a schooner of beer here is like a middy (NSW) or a pot (Vic and Qld) which means that it's a small-sized glass of beer. In Sydney and Canberra, a schooner is a mid-sized glass between a middy and a pint.
Take a trip down the coast to Coonawarra, Mount Gambier and Robe. It would be worth spending a couple of days doing this as it is quite a drive. You can always got on to Melbourne if you fancy a longer trip....
Big Rocking Horse is 18.3 metres high, the biggest rocking horse in the world. You can look out from one of the three observation platforms.
There is a Toy Factory there which offers Australia's largest range of wooden toys, games and puzzles. The Rocking Horse and Toy Factory are located on the Main Road at Gumeracha in the Adelaide Hills.
Location: Gumeracha is 36 km east of Adelaide
Mojo is gaining popularity in the West end - it's a bit divorced from the other places so it's easy to miss it. You can go nuts on the dancefloor (if you can get on it) to hip hop or fairly hard dance music, you can chill out in the two couch areas, or go outside to the beer garden to cool off. If you're out for a night of clubbing in the West end you have to try Mojo out. Guys: Anything that looks vaguely 'street' will get you in no worries. Avoid shorts and sneakers, and anything touristy looking.
Girls: Anything goes.
