The Anchorage hotel: Grand old dame of Victor Harbor

by pepemorris11

Our ground floor non-seafront ensuite leaked so we were upgraded to seafront suite . wow! furnishings were a little drabby but rather in keeping with old style Victorian style. service was friendly and obliging. Room rate came with breakfast for two. Paid Singapore $65 per room per night.

Faces Encounter Bay. lovely sea breeze. Heritage listed hotel along the esplanade. Very quiet at night so you can sleep soundly. Walking distance to causeway to get to Granite Island.

Edithburgh caravan park: Edithburgh caravan park

by hennanights

This caravan park is very nice. It sit on the shore right next to the boat ramp. The centre of town is about a 5 minute walk, as is the jetty. The camp site has very good facilities with modern toilets and showers. They also have a kitchen with all the modern cons and a dinning table. The camping sites have water and power. Its well set out with lots of trees, green grass and and 2 playgrounds for the kids. Short drive to surfing beaches and spectacular coastal scenery of Innes National Park.

Best Western Glenelg: An excellent location

by iandsmith

I have to admit I got in here for free, utilizing some vouchers I had accumulated. Having said that, Glenelg is probably Adelaide's favourite suburb if the number of accommodation houses and restaurants is anything to go by.
We spent three nights there in comfortable digs with all the trappings you'd normally expect in a Best Western site.

One of the pluses, as previoiusly indicated, is the location. It site across the road from the park and, on the other side of the park are the beach front attractions; i.e. restaurants, hotels, marina etc.

at Burra: old cottages

by Greybilby

in the mid 1840, Burra rose to prominense through copper mining. these cottages served as housing for the man of the mines. these days, lovingly reatored, with that little feel of yesteryear, the cottages serves up all the convinience modern travellers expect.

look at the picture, living like in the old days, with todays modern convinience, cool in summer and cosy in the colder days
Burra today is well known for its as coffee culure and wine. just an hour drive from Clare Valley

Cobdogla Station Caravan Park: Family fun!!!

by adelaidean

What a great place to stay...Pull up in your caravan or tent, or lease one of the parks many cabins...
There is swimming pools, donkey rides, a small australian zoo and fun on the banks of the river murray...
At night a fire is lit for all the campers to enjoy....A really family oriented park...one that my kids enjoyed over many a long weekend.

Every morning the owner collects the children with the carriage and the donkey...and goes for a ride around the park...Kids love it.
Canoeing is available on the river.
The zoo is great . The kids love to visit here!!!
Its such a central park...with day visits available to all the riverland towns.

Queensbury Hill YHA: Place in Melbourne

by lauzon

I stayed here for 2 weeks and it was alot of fun. It's a big hostel so you can meet alot of people. Maybe a little more mellow than some but still fun. It's not far from the city center and trams run all over the city so it is easy to get around

BBQ on the roof, laundry, good size kitchen.
