Flag Barossa Weintal Hotel

We have stayed here several times when Rob is working in Nurioopta. Most of the rooms are nice on the inside as they have been newly refurbished, but be sure NOT to get the upstairs 2 bedroom suite just across from the restaurant ... it is really tacky inside ... with drab furnishings and shocking looking curtains.

You will notice that the exterior of the hotel rooms looks pretty drab, but the interiors are much nicer than you would expect.

Unique Quality: The food in the restaurant leaves much to be desired ... so have low expectations. One benefit of staying here is the bottleshop on the premises. The pub is small and has a pool table and small pokie room if you get bored. There is an outdoor swimming pool too, but I did not look at it closely.

We thought that we would have a romantic stay in the Barossa Valley, and at short notice this was the only accomodation that I could find. It was classed as a package and included breakfast and dinner.
The dinner was probably to a bad pub standard, the breakfast had been sitting for quite a while, and in the middle of the night I was woken to the smell of cigarette smoke..As we had a non smoking room , this was a little alarming. We were told that it was the people next door, but it was so strong, that it was like it was our room!!!! Not nice if you dont smoke.
