Here's lookin' at ya kid
Hi Ho Hi Ho its off to work we go
what things can 11 to 14 year old people do i have looked around and nothing
I'll admit, this is going back approx. 26 years, as that was the last time I was in Whyalla (and yes, I was a very young teen at that time.. about 13).
I don't remember too much, only that mum took me to bingo once or twice, and that you're not allowed to win money, only prizes. And there was also a small shopping mall we went too, but that's my limited memory of Whyalla.
I remember it was a very nice place back then.. a lot of scrub land though. I would imagine a lot has changed in nearly 3 decades though. So sorry I can't help you more.
My other memory is of a small caravan park - Horseshoe caravan park on the outskirts of Whyalla - half the people there were trekkers, tourists, but a larger half were people waiting on the Housing line while living in caravans. Again, sorry, that's all I remember about Whyalla :)
Whyalla is a big country town, so not heaps to do there unfortunately. Sport is probably the major attraction for that age group I would say.
