The Lenna is situated in Salamanca nestled beside the harbour which caters for one of Australia's best sporting event; the Sydney to Hobart yacht race. I loved Hobart, I think its one of the nicest cities in Australia after Sydney. The harbour is extremely pretty and the foreshore and pier area impressive. Salamanca is interesting area with restored stone warehouses converted into trendy restaurants, cafes, shops and art galleries. It also has a great market on Saturdays with over 200 stalls selling all sorts of arts and crafts articles.
PROS: Good position in old building. Rooms spacious with normal hotel facilities. Our room had a lovely view of the garden. Staff friendly and helpful. Quite area in weekdays but fires up on weekends. Good cafe, pub and waterfront restaurants near by. Parking provided.
CONS: a bit of a hike into town up the hill. Hotel also on a hill...but good if excerise is required. Not suited for handicaps.
