    Value for Money

Surprisingly big room, clean (even the bath) and daily serviced. For the location and size of the room - we had 2 double beds in our room - it is definitely good value for money. Staff at reception is courteous, and very helpful. When asked to change kettle, it was immediately attended to, we got a "brand new looking" kettle. I had trouble ringing our airline to reconfirm booking, went to reception to ask for nearby public phone, she immediately offered to log into website to web check in for me - I call that top class service. Also gave us advice on places to visit due to our limited time in Hobart.

We stayed 2 nights (weekday) and our stay was very pleasant and quiet, hardly any noise.

Unique Quality: Adjoining to the plaza, there is a nice and simple Italian restaurant which serves good pizza. We tried the Vietnamese, wasn't good - but crowded with take-away customers. Couple of Korean restaurants and a German Bakery and Coles around the corner. Even an Asian Grocery, I was really impressed! Along Sandybay Road, quite a few cafes/restaurants, including trendy & popular joint called Metz. Lively area during daytime, suburbian shopping centre - banks, travel agent, hairdresser, etc.

5 minutes drive to the casino, there is even a bus stop right outside hotel which goes to the casino! Ample of car park for hotel customers, and secure entry to hotel building after-hours.

    Will stay again anytime.

Directions: Same road as the Casino, 5 minutes drive or bus outside hotel which goes pass Casino (walking to the casino - 20 to 30 minutes stroll, not so recommended at night)

  • Great Family Hotel

We have stayed at the Mayfair Plaza Hotel on a few occasions. Each time we find it to be affordable, clean and a good reliable accommodation for our family when we visit Hobart. It's nicely located that even the geographically challenged could find and there's a carpark always available. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who likes to stay in accommodation of a certain standard without the exorbitant price.

    Unique Quality: Price

    Directions: Sandy Bay. Very central.
