In 2003 Paul had some of the materials he needed to start building the new house, see above. In 2004 this is all he has done, a distinct lack of progress, a few hundred bricks. I think the plan is to finish it just after Lewis leaves home, Lewis is 6.
BRILLIANT - best thing i have done all year, plenty of loonies to talk to and they all have a steely determination to rid the island of beer by drinking it all.
The sauna and jacuzzi were lacking but room service was excellent, i was awakened one morning by having a bucket with a bloody great spider in it thrust under my nose.
Another stay in Rhyndaston and again we were given a caravan to ourselves, probably to prevent my snoring from keeping everyone awake.
This is the new house, in kit form. In March 2003 this is how thing looked when i left, when i returned in November the following year i was surprised by the progress. See below.
For 13 years Paul has been adding bits on and putting back the bits that fall off, he has also been putting off building the new house, the foundations have been dug for over a year now and the bricks have arrived but progress can be measured in ice ages. We stayed in a caravan in the garden that Beki had prepared specially for us.
