Good value in St Helens

We recently stayed at Anchor Wheel Motel, and thought that it was excellent value for money. The accommodation was comfortable, very clean, and included a breakfast with a choice of cereals and breads etc., and fruit juice in the tariff. The proprietor, Jan was very friendly and helpful - actually she went well out of her way to help us, at a very busy time for the motel. We would be happy to stay at Anchor Wheel again when we next visit St. Helens - a charming town on the north east coast of Tasmania.
The motel also had a licensed restaurant which operates every night for dinner, and also for Sunday lunch. We ate in the restaurant, had a delicious seafood meal at very reasonable prices - and the reasonable prices also extended to the drinks!

Unique Quality: On main road into St Helens on the north side - however, rooms were quiet. All at street level. Has licensed restaurant. Included light breakfast in the tariff.

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average
