- a great find
Driftwood Strahan Villas was a great find. For the same price as we’d paid the 2 nights before in Queenstown ($120 per night – winter rates) in a motel we got a 2 room villa with everything supplied – and itt was all first class and VERY well maintained.
Main room was a combined functional kitchen and 4 place timber table and chairs, a lounge area with a comfy couch and easy chair and flat screen TV with DVD player attached. There was a radio/CD player and a very efficient heater that really belted out the heat – only bad point was the heater needed to be re-set about every hour as it was on a timer and the warmth did not get to the bedroom.
Separate bedroom with queen bed, side tables and lamps and PLENTY of space. Bedroom lacked a built in wardrobe, but plenty of hanging space provided on a movable hanger. The bathroom was very large and in our case we had a disabled friendly set up with plenty of room to move.
Undercover carport, free WIFI, quiet location and walking distance to the centre of town, restaurants, cafes, shops and the cruise boats. Very friendly and helpful manager = Liz
All up a great place to stay and I must point out that I have seen far smaller apartments in Melbourne where 2 or more people live permanently. TOP MARKS and I thoroughly recommend.
Note - although the photo states the property is a motel, it is in fact serviced villas.
