"Gateway to Strahan"

This photo was taken on our cruise out of Strahan. This is the entrance from the ocean to Macquarie Harbor (the second largest in the southern hemisphere after Sydney). Strahan is the main city within the harbor.

"City of Strahan"

We walked up from the the harbour level towards the advertised Macquarie restaurant (which turned out to be closed)! But at least we had this nice view of the city and the harbour.

Here is a nice building front on the main street in Strahan. You can see it in the distance in the picture above. There are a few stores here, but the candy store was closed! :(
