Apollo Eleven out of Ten Points!
"Apollo Bay"
I didn't really stop in the town of Apollo Bay, merely driving through on the way along the Great Ocean Road, but is one very popular place to stop for a pit stop with lots to see and do. Apollo Bay is a typical seaside resort and activities here include the Old Cable Station Museum, Bass Strait Shell Museum, Tanbryn Gallery housing fine arts and craftworks, Gloworm Walking tours of the forest, Horseriding the beach and my personal favourite thing close to Apollo Bay is the Otway Ranges.
We stopped for a pit stop in the Otway ranges where you can get back to nature and picnic and it is absolutely georgeous. A nice place to get away from the seaside scenery which becomes believe it or not monotonous on the Great Ocean Road, the Otways provide true sanctuary.
