Samadhi spa health retreat: A deep and profound counselling experience

I needed help to get over some significant life problems. I found Samadhi after a friend told me about her healing experience with Wayne & Annah at Samadhi. I can honestly say that I got more out of my few days away than the help I had received from my regular weekly counselling sessions for the last 2 years. Wayne challenged me to look for deeply and authentically at my self to see the patterns that I had created for myself. Life seems so much clearer now and I am extremely grateful for the life changing experience of my Transformation retreat.

The retreat itself is so luxurious, I had my own private buddha garden with spectacular stone sculptures towering outside my accommodation windows. Every little details is accounted for, my meals were delicious and it was just so rewarding to rest and relax in the beautiful Samadhi accommodation.

The massages and spa treatments were also fantastic. The spa therapy area is like your own private retreat within a retreat. The body work was divine.

I would recommend this health retreat to anyone who is need of counselling or therapy help. What both Wayne and Annah do works. My future outlook is positive and I have a renewed sense of passion for my future.

Thank you so much Samadhi.

Central Springs Inn: Convenient location

The Central Springs Inn is located right on the Midland Highway and within easy walking distance to Vincent Street and that entire street has to offer in the way of shopping and eating.

The Inn consists of 3 main buildings: A historic and National Trust preserved former Gentleman’s Guesthouse built in 1865, the former Provender Store (see photo) now the restaurant, and finally a modern 2 story motel style block.

We stayed in a standard suite which had all that would be expected in a motel – queen sized bed with electric blankets, comfortable couch, plenty of space, tea/coffee, toaster, iron and ironing board, large flat screen TV and a generous sized bathroom. Room was air conditioned and a necessity for the central highlands of Victoria, well heated. Perhaps my only criticism is the dingy bedside lighting, although easily overcome by removing the light shade.

Breakfast is available in the Provender Store Restaurant, a pleasant sun filled room with an open fireplace. All you can eat buffet continental breakfast is $13 and for an additional $2, a hot freshly cooked breakfast in addition to the buffet is available.

Musk Manor: Manor style house at Musk

This place is very attractively furnished and does have a manor type feel about it, even though the exterior is quite modern.

Unique Quality: Great gardens, quite symmetrical at times. Quite a rural outlook, but not miles from anywhere.

Falls Cottage, Koroocheang (on the same property): Cottage near the falls

Less expensive than the main Falls house, quite simple by comparison, but the bedrooms are still tastefully done. The surroundings are more plain.

The falls at Koroocheang: Koroocheang B & B in the countryside

There are 2 houses on the property, quite some distance from each other (I think we went by car between the 2 to have a look).

Unique Quality: The main house is huge, double storey, and surrounded by gardens and paddocks, and just a few minutes walk to the Koroocheang Falls (which are on the property).
There's even a spa outside on the front decking, and another one inside.
The decor is quite stunning, with a spiral staircase in the centre of the lounge, which has an almost middle eastern feel to it with all the colorful scatter kitchen. Expensive but stunning, is my take on this one. Ideal for a large group of friends (10-12 people I think it will take).
Outside, with all the paddocks and the dams & waterfall, there's a very rural feel.

The Falls cottage is much smaller, single storey (see next tip)

The Signal Box (beside 'end of the line' carriage): Restored railway signal box

On our B & B day inspection tour, we only had a look at the outside of this unique B & B as there were guests inside at the time.

End of the Line: restored train carriage B & B

On another of my Daylesford Visitor Information familiarisation tours.... this restored train carriage was very impressive, with many features restored to be as close to the original.

Really something out of the ordinary with many nice touches (including bath duck, pictured!)

Spa & Fire: Guest House

Several rooms have spas. Some of the rooms are a little basic, but the place is quite old, hence the smallish rooms and traditional passageway down the centre of the house, but there's one particular bedroom and one bathroom that more than make up for it in the romance department - the bedroom with the 4 poster bed, and a bathroom which has not only a spa, but a fire on the other side of the room as well (see photo 2 & 3)

Unique Quality: One slight disadvantage is that though the rooms have their own ensuites, there's no cooking facilities, and 1 common room with tea/making facilities only... but still good for a night or two as there are so many choices for eating out in Daylesford.
