The Town built around water
Lakes Entrance is situated at the tip of the Gippsland Lakes National Park which is a unique coastal formation comprising the largest land-locked lake system in Australia, protected from the Bass Strait by the seemingly delicate strip of Ninety Mile Beach
We stayed here for a couple of nights while on the road to Melbourne. We enjoyed our stay at this coastal town
Of animals and beaches and caves
"90 Mile Beach"
Amazing! While we were swimming, a school of dolphins actually came within 6 feet of me! Saw the fins and got a fright because I thought it was a shark!
But as I saw people rushing on their surf/ body boards to go towards them, I realized they were dolphins. *whew*
Must go! It's off Paynsville. Apparently many years ago, more than 700 koalas were released onto the island! The only place I know so far where you can spot of koala up a tree, in the middle of the town
See if you can spot the little fella in my picture
Lots of pelicans, swans (black ones!), sea gulls etc. All of them vying for food from us the tourists!
Me and my 2 kids in front of the resort - fully self sufficient with kitchen, washer, dryer etc, and BBQ pits outside. Real Cool!
Got it to open its feathers
