In South Yarra, this gives you chance to see a classy Melbourne suburb buzz night and day. Loads of shops, eating places and nightlife around and right next to the train station with trains very often up until midnight.
Hotel itself reminds me of a cross between an English mansion house and an old seaside hotel in Blackpool. But the rooms have been modernised and everything is very clean.
Good breakfast included in rate and helpful staff.
Only downer was that our room was opposite a nightclub that was loud until after 3 am.
Unique Quality: Not a hostel feel but all the things you would require and more from a hostel
