The hotel is a little old and as my traveling mate complained, a musty smell lingers in the corridors and room. But for folks travelling on a budget and is not too worried about funny odor, the hotel and its rooms are quite alright if you just want a hotel bed. The hotel has a laundrette for folks wishing to do laundry, coin operated off course. It's not too difficult to travel into the city from the hotel as there is a tram stop not too far away. The only thing is that the hotel is a little off the main centre of Melbourne, but folks appreciate a little peace and quiet would not mind.
Unique Quality: Not much really, except for the deep red carpet they used (circa 2000). Maybe that had changed.
Directions: North edge of the city.
