Pleasant surprise
Recently stayed here for 2 nights and chose it for its location and reasonable price. However, after reading the reviews on the hotel I started to think I should cancel. So glad I didn't. I don't know if all rooms are the same as ours but our room had been recently refurbished and was a pleasure to return to after a day of shopping and sight seeing. Quick check in and very helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again.

Four Star Hotel
Regular four star hotel. Smart and modern with good service.
It is in a good location on the river with the CBD on one side and Southgate for it's bars and restaurants on the other.
Small gym and a free business centre.
If you are looking for a non-descript but smart hotel, this is a good choice.

Great Deal
I'm not a big hotel chain fan...nor am I a Crown Plaza/Holiday Inn fan...but this is a great deal in Melbourne. Australia is very expensive...and you would normally have to spend $200 to get a decent room...this hotel runs around $137AUD...and it's in an excellent location. It's right on the banks of the yarra river...and is right across from southbank and the crown casino. It's close to the ferrys of the yarra river...and is located right by a tram stop which will get you everywhere you want to go. The CBD would be a 5-10 minute tram ride from here...and the St Kilda and Port Melbourne areas is only 10-15 minutes in the other direction....
