dirty room, used sheets, rude staff, one guest had to sleep on floor, broken hot water tap & toilet seat, mold in bathroom, no fire evacuation plan, blown lights in bedrooms, duty manager said he wouldn't even stay in our room PLUS we received an insulting letter of compensation for $10 off our next visit!!!!!
1. not enough beds!!!!
the booking was made for five people but apartment slept 4 (two single one double). When we requested a spare bed the hotel said they had none left resulting in one guest sleeping on the floor the night before a marathon!!!!
dirty foam underlay on master bed covered in hair, dirt and goodness knows what else (see pictures attached). We found used sheets on one of the singe beds and it took 50 minutes before anyone came to change them - even then the staff expected us to change the sheets!
We raised all these issues with Neil (duty manager) the first day we were here - Mark Richards (assistant manger) offered us 50% off the first night but expected us to pay full price for the next two night. We were in town for the Melbourne Marathon with all other hotels booked out therefore we were not in a position to leave the hotel.
They have 1 or 2 bedroom apaartments, well maintained, has everything you required for the stay...TV, VCR, Tape recorder to hair dryer...to all the utensils, glasswares and cooking ranges...like it very much during my stay of 1 week. Tight Security building...no issues...has internet broadband connection..
