Serviced Apartments in Docklands

If you are travelling by yourself a serviced apt might be expensive but if you are travelling with someone else or another couple it usually works out cheaper and more covenient than a hotel. We have stayed at the Grand Mercure apts in Docklands which is the 'new' place to be in melb. It is right near the Telstra Dome so you could catch a football game without having to go too far.It has the free tourist circle tram stop right near it and also other trams stop close by as well. It doesn't yet have the hustle & bustle of the rest of Melb but everything is close enough, sometimes it's nice to come back to somewhere a bit quieter at night. There are many restaurants in the precint as well. The unit we stayed in was in a building called the 'Nolan' and was just newly furnished, it was stunning and modern with everything you could wish for and a great view. It was Unit 503 if that helps, maybe you could ask to have the same one? Try www.grandmercuredocklands.com.au Hope this helps, enjoy your stay.

Unique Quality: The Nolan is the youngest building out of the four that have serviced apartments in them. the apartments are all owned privately but serviced by Grand Mercure. The building has a very well equpted gym plus a heated outdoor pool with stunning views from the outdoor area around the pool. At night the Bolte Bridge has blue lights across it witch give it a fairytale appearance. A big observation wheel (like the London Eye) is currrently being built behind the Nolan and should be operational by the end of 2008 it will bring a lot od attention and visitors to the area. Being close to everything is a definate advantage, but the views are what keeps taking us back. There are many great restaurants who also deliver if you want to eat in your apartment plus a food court for take away meals.
