Yes. There are a couple of lounges at Melbourne airport.
There is, of course, a fee involved, but they have good amenties.

Thanks, do I just organise it when I get to the airport??
So you don't have to be flying with the airline to pay to go in their lounge??
I haven't been able to find an answer but maybe you could ring an airline (the one that your domestic ticket is with for instance) and see what they say. International area at Tullamarine has internet PCs available for a modest cost and cafes with good snacks and coffee. The domestic terminal has plenty of bars and cafes as well. I guess the biggest problem is the time between 7 pm and when you can check in to your Dubai flight.
Emirates does have a lounge but it is only of use once you have checked in.
I know I have a huge wait...I might be best to lock up my luggage and go to the nearest cinema..or sit down and read a good book (or 2...lol)
Thanks for you help, Do U have any idea what emerates would charge for a lounge??
Do I have to pay for this prior to getting to melbourne??
Cheers!!
Hi
Emirates Lounge is at Melbourne Airport. My guess is that you would be able to use it, but I'm not sure of the cost.
However- here is a website for the airport and its facilties.:

If you are here in Spring you must visit the Spring Racing Carnival. It is a world class horse racing carnival and a great party... This is from Derby Day November 2000 where Hit the Roof took the honours.
I like this one, is me standing here, so I like it. A tourist need a place to take photos, this is a place to take photos, tourists came here and immediately take photos here, happy, smiles, again and again, change positions, change angles, take as many as you wish, tourists happy, tourism happy, all happy.
Bring a sun hat and sunglasses if travelling during the warmer summer months.
A comfortable pair of walking shoes are suitable for walking on all types of terrain, ie, city streets, beaches or bush tracks.
During other times of the year,I would also recommend a raincoat. During the warmer summer months, be sure to bring sunscreen with a Sun Protection Factor of 15 plus.
Maybe not a must see, but this beach is a decent alternative to a crowded St. Kilda Beach. Every time I was there, there were much fewer people than at St. Kilda. It is a little further away from the city from St. Kilda but it is also a nice walk to get there. Just walk south from St. Kilda Beach.
