Medina Exec Flinders St
This hotel is on my company's preferred supplier list so we get to stay here a bit cheaper than normal plus don't have to pay any credit card fees - hence the reason we used it. That and the pictures etc on their website looked good. We were rather disappointed! We were in a 1 bedroom apartment and it was dirty and tired. Lighting was poor, limited view, carpet a bit ripped up and the couch rather stained!!
After 3 visits to the front desk I got us moved to a much nicer 2 bedroom apartment with a really good view across to the botanic gardens and around to the MCG. If we'd been put in to this room first up then our experience would have been much better overall. Booking etc was easy via email and the checking out process was okay.
Unique Quality: There is no restaurant here however as it's an apartment complex you're not really expecting one? Right beside the hotel is a convenience store so not far to go to buy a few essentials. Fliners lane is also close by and this has several nice (if a bit expensive) cafes and restaurants. There is also a gym, with a few basic items, on the ground floor.

Spacious, luxurious and central
Unique Quality: These apartments are better than any apartment I've ever lived in. Certainly more spacious too!
