Visit the Crown Casino...

Visit the Crown Casino Complex, The Old Exhibition Building, Rialto Towers Observation Deck, The St. Patrick's Cathedral, Chapel Street, St. Kilda and Chadstone Shopping Centre. I just love the place...It's one place that you enjoy the comfort and convenience of a cosmopolitan city minus the pollution and the traffic.

The building of the Parliament...
by Ronald_T
The building of the Parliament House commenced in 1856 at the height of the Victorian gold rush. This is reflected in the lavish use of gold I the interior decoration. Parliament House was the first home of the Australian Parliament from Federation in 1901 until 1927 when it reverted to the Parliament of Victoria. The north and south wings have never been completed. The Australian Parliament House is settled nowadays in Canberra.
Packing List

A word of warning about Melbourne weather....it changes all the time! If you are here in summer (Dec-Feb), it can be quite hot so make sure you bring shorts/t'shirts/summer dresses etc., and of course something to go swimming in. In summer we have a lot of days in the high 30's.
In the winter months (June-August), make sure you rug up. Although we don't get snow here in the city areas, it can still be quite cold and miserable sometimes. Of course, if you are planning to go to the mountains during this time then you will need clothing for the snow! Any toiletries or medical supplies you need can be easily purchased from a supermarket or chemist. There are lots of great camping spots throughout Victoria. Make sure you have mosquito repellant, sunscreen, and can cope with a few creepy crawlies!:-)
Go and attend a football match
by paoseo
As italian I'm used to see soccer matches finishing with people invading the football field, supporters of the two teams hitting each other, police, injured people at the end of all matches. You can imagine how happy I was to see all supporters sitting one next others, even if they belong to 2 different team. There are no violence scenes. At the end all descend stairs singing their own team songs together!!!! I went to the Collingwood- Carlton match! I even put on the Collingwood hat!!!
Oh I had so much fun!!!
