Super Clean and Friendly Environment
The dorm rooms are large and serviced daily. Each bed is provided with linen, locker and storage space. There's a Female Only Dorms so I felt very comfortable. My dorm mates were friendly and nice people. I do not have to worry about my stuff being stolen or missing as our access card are only accessable to our floor and room.
The place is super clean and the toilets were cleaned twice every day.. No stinking bedsheet or toilets.. Perfect accomodation!
It also offers FREE INTERNET, FREE BREAKFAST, FREE PANCAKE SUNDAYS, FREE LUGGAGE STORAGE & FREE TEA AND COFFEE.. Free breakfast only from 7am to 9am everyday & You need to book for a time slot (max 30 mins) for internet..
Location is superb as it's near to Flinder Street Station and Federation Square.. Best location for a backpacker's place as it's in the heart of the city!
Food, souvenier shop, Subway, supermarket are easily available on the street.. Very, very convenient...
Price is very afforable at A$27 per night or A$161 per week!
They have interesting daily activities that you can join which I didnt get to join any of them cos I had my days planned already..
I would stringly recommend this place for all BACKPACKERS!

hostel in city center
High quality backpacker hostel in the very center of Melbourne. The rooms are good and there is a large kitchen & eating area. The security is also good with codes / cards required for entry to the hostel and each floor of rooms. A great place to stay if you are looking for budget accomodation in the city center.

Smoke free lounge bar with pool table.
This is a great location for a hostel being in the heart of the city on Flinders Lane.
The roof top has a decent area for food and some great parties with a good reception desk area as you enter the building.
Prices for dorms are not very expensive considering what you get for location and convenience plus safety and hygeine.
Unique Quality: The bar in the basement is called 6degrees which is a good place to have a few drinks and play a game of pool as well as enjoying the smoke free atmosphere. Also has WiFi zone if you want to plug and play your computer.

Best hostel around...
All things considered, this was probably the best hostel that I stayed at while in Australia. The location is ideal - it's right in the center of the city and close to everything, it is good size, clean, secure, and has a great social atmosphere. There are three floors of rooms, and all the facilities are on the 6th floor of the building. The facilities include a large kitchen, laundry room, TV room with lots of comfy chairs, arcade games, pool tables, free internet (if a bit slow), storage room, and a travel desk on the ground floor, and even an open roof. There's a free breakfast from 7-9am, free pancakes on Sundays at 11, and a rooftop BBQ on Tue. I paid A$27 per night in a 4 bed room.
