The first moment I saw Shepparton, I saw a KFC restaurant from winding down my car window, snap. I realized chain stores are everywhere in the world today, so please serve yourself at KFC-Shepparton. But I like the outlook of the architecture, it looks more KFC than just KFC.
The city now has a vibrant mix of cultures.
The population of Shepparton, along with nearby Mooroopna, and the immediate rural area is about 50.000 - and growing!
Like many country areas, Shepparton is proud of its high participation rate in sports and its continually expanding sporting ammenities.
Shepparton (Shepp for short) is a town of about 26,000 people. It's about 2 hours drive north of Melbourne and is a nice place to visit.
Shepp is home to many orchardists and has a lot of dairy farms near by. I think it would be quite easy to find some fruit picking work if that's what you're looking for.
I lived in the area for the first 22 years of my life so I have spent quite a bit of time there... I don't visit very often these days though...
