Fletcher Jones Gardens
by Kate-Me
I liked the Fletcher Jones gardens because it seemed an unusual thing to have for a factory shop, to be surrounded by your own public gardens. I guess in some way it attracts more people to the factory shop too.
I especially liked the expanse of green lawn, something we haven't seen elsewhere in Victoria for almost a year now....
I don't know what this silver alien like tripod tower is in the background...it's rather tall....to make sure you find your way to the factory???
Whale Watching

From June to October each year, the coast off Warrnambool becomes the Southern Right Whale breeding nursery, and you can view these magnificent creatures from the viewing platform at Logan’s Beach.
Binoculars are a MUST, even if the brochures don’t say you definitely need them.
The whales may be 100 metres or more offshore, so you may see almost nothing without binoculars (sometimes very little even WITH them...and you may need a lot of patience too)
Wear warm clothing there, as often even in summer it's cold at these exposed points. They don’t call it ‘Windy Warrnambool’ for nothing!
Gardens

The Fletcher Jones Factory and Gardens is an institute in Warrnambool.
There is a huge silver ball above the factory ( no idea what it is:) Here they made the materials for the well known Fletcher Jones label.
The gardens are now a toursit attraction, if you are in the area pop in and have a walk around them.
Welcome to Warrnambool - Largest City on GOR

"The End of the Road..."
Although we had a very short stay here in Warrnambool, we could tell this was a popular location. It was the border of the Great Ocean Road, and was the most accessible city to make your way back to "civilization", after the hours of splendour on the Great Road.
We really only passed through, but we look forward to going back sometime!
