Promhills Cabins: Promhills Cabins, great place to stay
This place is 3 cottages overlooking Wilsons Promontory. We stayed in the studio, which was well set up with everything we needed with bathroom and kitchen (and even our own personal BBQ). The alpacas are a delight to watch and it was great to be able to get up close and feed them with the owners. Out little cottage had a verandah with table and chairs to enjoy the views. A short walk to the shop for coffee & the morning newspaper. Would recomend Promhills Cabins and hope to return myself soon.
Unique Quality: The views are amazing. The alpacas friendly and curious, relaxing to watch. Service was warm and friendly.

Tidal River: Camping site and cabins
Camping area consist of almost 500 sites and if it’s asked from me facilities are very good. Enough shower and toilets and also possibility to wash your clothes and gas barbeques for picnic. If you don’t want to sleep in a tent you can rent a cabin. Accommodation should be booked beforehand because camping site is very popular among locals.

Promontory Gate Hotel: A peaceful town with fishes everywhere
We booked the room only because that's the only one available during the long weekend. Eventually, the one-night stay turned out to be a great experience. Perhaps the room and facilities are a bit worn, but what left in my memory included an absolutely tasty dinner, a few pool games, a peaceful town and of course, fishes!

The Loft: Stay at Sandy Point!
We found the www.promaccom.com.au website and I browsed through and picked out The Loft! We were very happy with our choice! It was hassle-free to get in - we just called a number the day we were checking in to get the combination for a little box by the door that held the key.
The place was stocked with plenty of cooking utensils and appliances. There were also games and a decent selection of videos (we watched Sliding Doors). :) The bed was comfy and there was another small bed that would be perfect for a kid.
I personally would have enjoyed having a bath tub, but they used tank water and seemed very concious of water use. The shower was fine. :)
There was also a fun deck with two nice looking lounge chairs, but it wasn't quite warm enough to lounge on them.
It was a great place to stay for a weekend or longer, but check the school holidays and try to miss them - we thought we were going in non-peak season, but alas... we caught the end of school holidays. Check their website for the breakout of all the prices.
Unique Quality: I loved the window right above the bed that opened up and you could peak out in to the backyard, although the trees hid the beach from view, it was still a nice view. :)
After a short jaunt down a path in the backyard... over a few felled trees, you got to the lovely little beach at Sandy Point, which looked out on Waratah Bay. It seemed like a peaceful beach that probably doesn't ever get toooo crowded.

The Loft: After your Day at the Prom, head to the Loft
Sarah is a good weekend planner! When we decided to go to the Prom for the weekend, I left accommodation details up to Sarah, and she came through with a great website called PromAccom. It had several options and we chose "The Loft". It was a fully furnished guesthouse style accommodation, which had a trail to the beach, but was actually safely located behind dunes to protect from wind.
It was a one bedroom loft apartment, with a covered parking spot, full kitchen, and bathroom. Ideal for a couple or a family with small children. They had plenty of movies, and TV for evening entertainment, and a nice deck in case you want to throw some shrimp on the barbie.
The bed was comfortable, although the heater in the house was possessed!

Tingara Cottages: Yanakie
Well, we had everything, as described elsewhere. Nature threw the works at us yet, the three cottages here have been well designed with bushy growth around them to protect them from the weather so we were able to experience it without worrying about anything coming loose.
Unique Quality: Each of the three cottages has a lovely little verandah with views over corner inlet and they are all self contained and have a TV for which many movies are available. I certainly caught up on a couple that I'd missed.

Sandy Point Beach: By the seaside
If you're looking for a place to stay by a lovely (and long) white beach then you might consider Sandy Point Beach, a small hamlet but with 17 B&B's. Can't imagine what the local industry might be!
Most of them are in $90 to $150 per couple range and, although I only checked out one, I feel fairly safe in recommending any of them.
It's situated about 30 minutes from the park and it would pay to book ahead in peak holiday times.
