Tudor 'loo

I was rather impressed with this Tudor building....it and the red English style phone box in front of the stone building next door really lent an English air to this part of the Albany township..... interestingly, this building is a toilet block!
Peaceful Bay
by skatzcatz
I remember as a youngster visiting my Grandparents shack at Peaceful bay. There was also once a girl i knew who had a painting in her living room of this same place. Sadly we are no longer friends. Yet Peaceful bay still lingers within my distant memories with its days of bliss and fond memories of spending time with my now departed Grandparents. if your ever in the area around Denmark (west of Albany) checkout Peaceful Bay.
Wind Generated Energy
by Mikebb
Albany embraces clean, green principals and is in an ideal position for a Wind Farm to generate electricity. The Southern Ocean provides a good wind source to drive the generators which are located high on the hills facing the ocean.
Albany: South of Perth
by Kate-Me
Quite off the beaten track for us, and the weather was a bit grey and dismal when we arrived, so I don't think we saw the harbour in its full beauty...but the next day when we started visiting the surrounding beaches and features, we were rather pleasantly surprised....stunned even by the beauty and clarity of the beaches and the water.
Here is a pic of Albany's Frenchman's Bay, about 20 kms from the centre of Albany.
One of the pubs in the main street of Albany.
