Bay Merchants, Middleton Beach: Albanys Worst Accomodation
This is the noisest place I have ever stayed in Albany. Rooms are in the same building as the cafe, right next to the busy kitchen. Expect to be woken by the baker at 3am, the delivery truck at 6am and the water system cranking through the old building all night long! When we asked the owners about the constant noise they where unhelpful and rude. They actually tried to compare their lone cafe to a busy Asian city which left me incredulous.
We slept with ear plugs in the whole time, which felt odd in a usally quiet place like Middleton Beach. I have never stayed anywhere that cared less about their guests, the accomodation really does feel like an after thought. The food at the cafe is great, the accomodation is not.

B&B by the Sea, Albany: Amazing and quiet B&B...sea front
Beautiful small B&B right on the beach. Sue and Les, the owner were charming and made our stay a very special one. Breakfast on the terasse was a must. (Breakfast was really excellent and it's included in the price)
Unique Quality: 100 meter from a small and quiet beach....just like a little paradise.

I followed Joe and stayed at his mom's place in Albany...which means I've got free accomodation!
Don't be jealous.

The Albany International Motel
I only have a vague recollection of staying here. The motel is located 2 kms from the central business district of Albany and just a few minutes walk from the shopping centre. There is a Licensed restaurant and cocktail bar.
