An older budget priced hotel with large rooms, basic furnishings, tiled floors, comfortable queen size bed, and mini kitchen with a big fridge (big enough for beer as well as food and water).
Internet connection avilable in reception.
There are no lifts, outdoor stairs leading to balconies provide access to the first floor rooms.
There is no restaurant either, but there is a cafe at Aquatic Centre on the other side of the road.
The aircon was very old, very noisy and inadequate in the high temps, but would be OK in June/July when it's not so hot.
The TV with it's 2 free in house video channels was dissapointing as the picture and sond were poor.
There are buses every half hour to Chinatown and Cable beach from just outside, but we found it very hot and tedious waiting for and travelling on the buses, would not recommend staying here without a car, though you could use taxis.
We thought we would be able to walk to the nearest shopping centre (less than a kilometre), but I found that if I tried to walk more then a few hundred yards while carrying anything, I felt as though I was going to collapse (because of the heat and humidity).
Unique Quality: Delightful semi-shaded pool and surrounding gardens with bbq's. (see photos)
The first floor rooms with balcony overlooking the pool are probably the best, especially as you have your own (semi-private) space on the balcony.
