Best western Cervantes.
We stayed at this hotel overnight after driving from Perth to experience the Pinnacles. The drive takes approx 2.5hrs due to road congestions with road works.
The hotel offers basic accommodation but it’s clean and tidy. It’s a shame no other hotel chain has set up base in Cervantes as it would certainly help out with the limited choice which is available within this region.
The Best Western is the best in town unfortunately unless you want to stay in a youth hostel then this is it. We actually drove away thinking we would find something more suitable or to our liking but there is absolutely nothing around unless you want to drive to Jurien Bay to stay in the local caravan park. (Good-looking cabins).
The rooms are your standard road-side cells with a double bed, TV and bedside tables. Vertical blinds hide the view of the car-park, unless you are lucky enough to score a room overlooking the outdoor swimming pool. The bathroom well it’s your standard shower, toilet and basin.
The restaurant has a bar area and the food is very respectable for a country seaside town. There is a decent wine menu too which we found surprising. The cooked breakfast is simply excellent, you do not have a choice they just cook it for you.
The Pinnacles are situated approximately 17kms from Cervantes and is definitely worth exploring, the pinnacles rise up from the sand dunes and can reach up to 4 metres high. The interesting part of exploring the pinnacles one can literally drive around the whole 4km one-way loop without getting out of your car. Hangover Bay is also well worth visiting as the bay and water looked divine.
Tips. Amex is not accepted anywhere apart from the Best Western in Cervantes. A good supermarket/ bottle shop can be found in town.
The Best Western Hotel is not on the beach but an easy 5-10mins walk away.
Unique Quality: Its the only hotel in town. Excellent food for limited facilities.
