Bay Lodge YHA: Denhams own backpackers

When i walked into The Bay Lodge i was pretty impressed with its layout and location then i walked into my dorm and it was filthy...but then i realised ti was the people in the dorm that were filthy not the actual hostel!! The dorms are individual apartments, each has its own kitchen, bathroom, living room and the bedrooms are either dorms style or just single rooms! each "apartment" has a door that leads out onto a verandah over looking the pool! All the apartments are still communal so if you need a knife you can always just go to the apartment next door and use one of theirs!! Its a great layout and agood idea but if your like me and have a pile of messy pigs who dont clean up after themselves it can be very uncomfortable as the kitchen isnt that big. trying to navigate your way around messy dishes isnt pleasant.

Unique Quality: Bay Lodge is in a great location right on the watersfront in Denham and is walking distance to all the shops. there is also a bus stop out the fron too for the Easyrider buses. The pool in the middle of the resort is great too. if you dont want to cook in your kitchen if its messy there is an outdoor (covered) kitchen as well. Its also good for families as they have family rooms. the pool is fenced off too...so theres no chance of the kiddies getting in unsupervised.

under the stars: Francis Peron National Park

staying in Francis Peron National Park i remember still was one of the most special moments of that holiday i did over to the West. I still remember strolling those deserted beaches and feeling so isolated yet secure in where i was. Needed a 4wd back then, not sure about now.

Unique Quality: remoteness
