This was a reasonable place to stay. We were looking for somewhere nice for a winter getaway with a "heated" pool and where we could cook if we wanted to. This resort seemed to fit the bill and generally it was OK. The resort consists of 150 studios or villas 1, 2 or 3 bedroom with kitchen, bathroom and small lounge area. Choice of lake or garden view. It has recreational facilities that includesThe staff were friendly and generally helpful. The main the 25 m pool, gymnasium and day spa. It also has a restaurant "The other side of the moon".lounge area itself has a lovely ambience with a fireplace and every friday a wine tasting. It is close to everything.
The resort has its own entry to Bunker Bay beach with extensive views from the balcony adjoining the lounge area.It has a resident kangeroo!!
We were in a standard one bedroom villa. It was beautiful! The bath was huge, it was fully self contained, including a dishwasher.
There's a pool, gym, day spa, resturant and access to the beach - great for surfing. Your car is parked in the main carpark and you walk to your villa, which may be some distance and probably down a fairly steep hill, but if you don't mind walking that's ok. We have a young baby and it was raining and so we were taken to our room in one of the resorts golf carts.
I booked through their website, the room is $455 in peak season, but i got a special price of $165, so it's worth keeping your eyes open (it is the middle of winter).
We found the resturant menu a little limited, but we did order pizzas through room service.
Great views, huge bath tubs, beautiful grounds full of native plants and flowering bushes.
