Mulberry Mansion: A Huge Mansion Hidden on a Laneway

Mulberry Mansion is very pleasing on the eyes, as you can see from the photos. A group of friends and I rented this place for a week over Halloween and found the venue and the amenities to be absolutely fantastic. Just see my unique qualities section.

On to the bad news - the owner, Dwayne, is kind of hard to get on the phone when something goes wrong. Such as, when after 1 day of use the spa stopped emitting hot water. The property manager did however drop by unannounced one night to explain that we were not to use the pool past 8pm.

The wi-fi is not free and must be arranged beforehand at the price of $7 per day. Come to mention it, the price is not that reasonable either - $3250 for the week (9 people staying).

Dwayne is not doing too badly for himself, if he can consistently charge these prices... But I have to admit the size, comfort and uniqueness of the property is worth it if you can afford the price tag. This place is awesome.

There is a huge pool complete with pool bar.
There are two spas (one indoor and one outdoor).
There is a pool table with a living fountain (it holds seveal goldfish - don't forget to feed them!)
There are 5 bedrooms which hold 2-3 people per room.
The house is professionally designed and totally eco-friendly.
All plates, cups, cutleries and other assortments are provided, all you have to do is bring food.
The dishwasher is amazing and does all the work for you.

Hotel Fremantle

The hotel was building in 1898-99 for Bacon Forrest Company. During the defence of the America's Cup, the hotel became the headquarters for the N.Z. team. Today the building is minus the original corner turret and flagpole.

The hotel has Rooms (single, double and twin) with share bathroom facilities
They do have a double room with an ensuite. The hotel has a 2 star rating.

Little Lefroy Studio Warehouse: BEST Self-Catering Apartment in Fremantle

This awesome studio warehouse renovation is perfect for the discerning traveler. Located in the heart of South Fremantle, half a block from the FREE Freo CAT Bus service, Little Lefroy is a secluded yet central place to stay. Within one block you have Falduzi's Restaurant (contentental), Ruoccos' Pizza, Manna Wholefoods (healthfood), Aubergine Cafe (best coffee in Freo), Abhi's Bread (baked fresh every day), and more.

The Warehouse itself is the most delightfully colourful accommodation I have ever seen. The entre front of the house is glass, looking out onto a Zen courtyard garden. The balcony bedroom reminds me of being royalty, especially with the awesome bathroom (room for 2 in the bath!!). The kitchen has all you need (and more) to make anything you can cook at home.

It's two blocks from the beach (or a Free CAT ride to South Beach in 4 minutes), close to the Fremantle Yacht Club, and walking distance to town.

It's quiet, and secure. Perfect for couples or honeymooners.

Colourful, unique, fully furnished with fantastic furniture, everything you'd need in a kitchen and more...

Quiet, secure, private, and centrally located. Easy to get to, easy to find. More on their website at www.littlelefroy.com and you can pay online too!

Coogee Beach Holiday Park

The holiday park is right on the beach and offers a varied range of accommodation
From deluxe family units, family chalets, cabins, motel rooms and powered sites for caravans. There are also fully equipped laundries, bbqs and disabled facilities.

There is plenty to do from the park. Of course a walk through the park to the beach will give you safe swimming (great for kids), windsurfing, fishing or just a nice stroll. There is also bike paths in the area.

Trade Winds Hotel

The Tradewinds is a bit of a landmark from the northside of Fremantle. You can see it perched up on the hill overlooking the Swan River. The hotel is a 4 star and offers 1 and 2 bedroom serviced apartments which also have a kitchenette. There is also a restaurant in the hotel and parking for guests is available.
