Million dollar views for $38 per night! by K.Knight We did not stay in "fancy" hotels or motels. Most places that you intend visiting have caravan parks (Van/trailer parks) with on site cabins. Prices range from AUS$25.00 to AUS$50.00. They are very comfortable and have cooking facilities and a refrigerator. The extra price in some cabins are for airconditioning or televisions. This caravan park is situated in Denham, close to the Monkey Mia Dolphins and cost AUS$38.00 per night.

camels at Cable Beach by bijo69 Good place to chill out after driving thousands of km. Just a few minutes walk from Cable Beach in Broome. The rooms, bathrooms and kitchens are clean and spacious.
Little swimming pool with hammocks around! Own bar!

The monastery chapel by TheWanderingCamel A night spent at the New Norcia Monastery Guesthouse is a unique experience. The accommodation is simple, but comfortable. There is a guests' sitting room and meals are served in the Guesthouse Dining Room - dinner (with wine), lunch and breakfast are included in the cost of your night's stay. Monks and guests eat the same meal - wholesome home-style cooking. Hospitality is one of the cornerstones of the Benedictine Rule, staying at New Norcia's Monastery Guesthouse is a chance to particpate in a centuries - old tradition. I love it and always endeavour to take overseas and interstate guests there. It is a very special place.
The rooms open out into a pretty courtyard garden (the almond tree in blossom is a lovely sight in Spring). Guests are welcome to join the monks in their chapel for prayers, though there is no requirement for this it is a nice thing to do as it gives a real sense of the reason for the whole town's existence.. New Norcia is a fascinating place and by staying there overnight you have the time to both explore the place properly and absorb some of its character and tranquillity.

I stayed in this BnB for 8 nights and it was great! A small vintage hotel with an excellent location. Very clean and cozy hotel. Service was satisfactory, receptionist was ok but the restaurant manager has an awful attitude. Housekeeper very friendly and did a good job. Would recommend this hotel for it's location, rooms and food. Value for money. I paid AUD 98 for a single room with breakfast.
The highlights of the hotel are the unique room decor, antique lift and the excellent breakfast. It has one of those manual slide door elevator you don't see commonly anymore... Was really an experience using it... The room I stayed in has a full height wallpaper of the Swedish Alps... It looked fabulous... and very relaxing feel to the room... It also serves fantastic breakfast with a good spread of warm dishes, pastries, cereals, fruits, coffee and tea, hot chocolate and juices. The best are the mushroom scrambled eggs, Danish pastries, pancakes and a good mug of hot chocolate... They also serve traditional Swedish muesli which didn't suit my taste buds well... Aislinn Cottage by TheWanderingCamel With its comfortable rooms and lovely gardens, great cooking and idyllic small town setting, Ford House makes a marvellous getaway spot for anyone wanting to explore the countryside around Bridgetown. There are rooms in the old house itself or you can stay, as we did, in little Aislinn Cottage in the gardens away from the main house. Here two beautifully furnished bedrooms, each with their own ensuite baths, share a well-equipped and very comfortable kitchen-cum-livingroom with leather sofas and a pot-bellied stove to warm your toes by after a day's sight-seeing. Whether you opt for a winter break and make the most of the cosy fire (Bridgetown regularly records the lowest temperatures in WA through winter), or come in Summer when a pretty verandah overlooking the stream makes a great spot to relax in the evening, a stay at Ford House is guaranteed to win rave revues.
Hearty country breakfasts with home-made preserves and yoghurt, fresh-baked bread and free-range eggs are cooked to order and served in the little cafe in the garden. Arrangements can be made for lunch and dinner. 5 acres of beautiful garden suround the house with many mature exotic trees. Bridgetown's cool climate and protected valley setting has made it perfect for growing northern hemisphere trees and whether awash with blossom in Springtime, filled with the scent of roses in Summer or ablaze with Autumn colour, the gardens at Ford House are a picture at any time of year.

by bijo69 This is one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in Western Australia. Rooms are large, clean and even have some nice details, like a bedside table & lamp etc. All common areas are spotless clean and the TV rooms has very comfy sofas. A perfect place to relax!

by bijo69 Unfortunately this is the only hostel in Busselton. The place is in desperate need of a major repair... My room was still somewhat ok, but everything else (bathrooms, kitchen etc) were falling apart and dirty on top. The backyard which could have been really nice resembles a junk-yard. And for all this you'll pay a higher price than in much nicer hostels in the Southwest. Avoid it if you can! by bijo69 Dolphin Retreat is a very friendly hostel close to the centre and the beaches. Rooms come in different sizes, I stayed in a 4-bed dorm which was large enough and had a fan. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The lounge has a TV and computers aswell as comfy sofas. The only thing which wasn't too good was the kitchen. Not the cleanest place, but as I don't really like cooking it doesn't matter too much to me.

by bijo69 This nice hostel is directly on the beach of Geographe Bay, about 2km from Dunsborough. The best thing is its huge back garden with hammocks, table tennis and lots of space with beach access. Rooms are basic, but clean and spacey. The kitchen, lounges and bathrooms are all ok. You can rent bikes and surfboards.

Pemberton by bijo69 Again, this is the only hostel in town and again it's no good. I ended up staying in one of the cottages in a very crowded 6-bed dorm with no space for my small backpack. There were 3 more rooms in the cottages, but only one toilet and one bathroom, both not in the best shape. Apart from that there wasn't hot water for both days I stayed there. The kitchen was quite dirty aswell. The main building didn't look any better... I really can't recommend staying here.
