I need to know if there is a direct form of transport to Kalbarri from Carnarvon
or how would be the easiest way to get there other than car on a Friday.

The bus link from Kalbarri back to Binnu on the Carnarvon road is no longer running so, at present, there is no way to travel directly from Kalbarri to Carnarvon unless you can get a lift from Kalbarri to Binnu (62 kilometres). The Greyhound bus gets to Binnu at 1525 - it arrives in Carnarvon at 2035.

Travel Tips for Kalbarri

Plant life of Kalbarri

by iandsmith

Flowers of the Australian bush tend not to be huge, more subtle than displays you might encounter in other countries. In time you learn to appreciate the subtlety and accept them for what they are.
At times in Western Australia (particularly spring) there are a veritable plethora of blooms that carpet the ground.
Since I was at Kalbarri in June there were few on show but here's a sampling of what there were.

The fishing in Kalbarri is great most of the year whether it be from the beach, rocks or out on a boat. The best catches are tailor and mulloway for beach anglers. If you are fishing in deeper waters then you will find catches of whiting, gardies, dart, herring, samson fish, trevally just to name a few. Some of the best fishing between Exmouth and Perth are found in these waters.

Walk around "The Loop"

by gabyne

If you're not satisfied with looking through "Nature's Window" you can walk around "The Loop" which is a canyon with a river in the middle. You'll need about 3 or 4 hours to walk around. Be careful if it's very hot and take plenty of water and sunscreen with you.

The road to "The Loop" and "Nature's Window" is unpaved. You can drive with a normal car but a 4 WD makes it a lot easier since the road is a bit bumpy.

The mighty Murchison

by iandsmith

We were on the main highway about 60 kms from Kalbarri when we got to this crossing where we camped just after sunset. Next morning I awoke and took a couple of snaps.
It's the Murchison River a fair way before it gets to Kalbarri NP.
There's a designated camp site here so you might keep it in mind if you're freewheeling as I do.
Just thought I'd share these couple of pics with you.

Natural Bridge

by Atre

Natural Bridge is part of a series of ocean gorges and rocky cliffs that form part of the coastline near Kalbarri. Natures Window is the furtherest away from Kalbarri, but is one of the best in my opinion.
