This station was once the busiest in all Australia. A small train, the "rattler" was connecting Kalgoorlie, the Goldfields and Boulder. Until recently the "rattler" still ran for tourists, but it's out of service now.
You can visit see the train at the museum though, aswell as artefacts and photos from those busy days.
The museum usually is open on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-2pm.
Admission is 2 AUS$ if I remember it correctly.

The Super Pit

This is the largest open cut gold mine in Australia and the largest working gold mine in the Southern Hemisphere - quite an impressive sight. You can find it on the Goldfields Highway between Kalgoorlie and Boulder on the famous golden mile. The mine has on average about 750 people working onsite.
