Hi , I live near Mandurah and have often seen people crabbing off the foreshore park.
Crabbing time is December to May
more details here, also about the prawns which 'run' at certain times of the year in the same places.

RE: Crabbing Season

Hi The real crabbing season is January to end of March, you can catch crabs either side of this time span. Mandurah bridge is OK but the locals have"Reserved Spots" during peak times. Just tell them to shove off. Crabs are around now, I caught 20 on 29th December, all good sized blue, but I have a boat and caught them near Pinjarra.
There are 2 methods of crabbing, drop nets used from boats or in deeper water like the Mandurah Bridge. The second method, Scoop Netting is where you can get the most crabs, a scoop net is a wire basket on a broom stick and you walk through the shallow water looking for crabs, be quick and you can scoop them up.Wear shoes whilst doing this. Note there are strict size and catch limits and Fisherises Inspectors can fine you heavily for infringements. Have a look on my Mandurah page.
Good Luck, Mike

Boat and Fishing Show
by keeweechic
The Boat and Fishing Show is held in October at the Mandurah Ocean Marina and the Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club. You will see one of the biggest collections of big boats, yachts and trailer boats ever amassed in WA and probably one of the best boat shows in the world.
Admission is charged.
Abingdon Miniature Village
by keeweechic
The Abingdon Miniature Village is spread over 2 acres and is only about 10 mins from the city centre of Mandurah. On display are some 35 miniature historic buildings of the UK which cover a whole range of architectural styles from the 12th century onwards. New models and features are being constantly added to the gardens and just recently, The Secret Garden was opened.
Location : Lot 7 Husband Road, Barragup (off Pinjarra Road, Mandurah bypass)
Honington Cottages
by keeweechic
These cottages are found in Warwickshire and built around the 18th century. Often very different styles of architecture were combined. The cottage on the left has a thatched roof and is made out of stone and the one on the right is brick and tile.

Abingdon Market Place Shops
by keeweechic
The model shown here replicates the buildings which were seen since the turn of the century. The town of Abingdon used to be the market town of Berkshire which had a traditional Monday Market Day. The end building was the Queens hotel which was built in 1700’s.

Top Restaurant On Port Bouvard Marina
by Mikebb about Toto's Pepper & Salt
This is a top class restaurant right on the marina, it also caters for "coffee and cake" which is something every tourist enjoys. We had our coffee and cake on the boardwalk section just a metre or two from the water and the perfect place to enjoy the delightful marina view. The service was good, the coffee was hot, and the staff friendly. The young lady who served us had a strong European accent and upon asking her where she was from we found we had visited her homeland, Croatia just 6 months earlier.
