Simmo's Icecream is available all over the Margaret River area... It's REALLY yummy too! :) I loved the Mint Choc Chip and Cherry Choc Chip flavours...yum! It's definitely worth giving it a go. :)
The main shop is at Dunsborough, not too far south of town. They also have a shop in Fremantle, Margaret River and Mandurah...

Amberley Estate
You must try the 'Amberley Chenin Blanc' its sensational! Finishes with a long, fresh and clean taste. Perfect with lighter meals such as chicken and fish, and to those spicy dishes!

The Quindalup Fauna Park is north of Margaret River. The park features Australian wildlife which includes kangaroos, wallabies, quokka, wombats and dingoes. There is also a butterfly enclosure and a natural light marine aquarium featuring local fish from Geographe Bay. Aside from the usual arts and crafts shop, you can also enjoy a Devonshire tea or use the bbq facilities.
Open Time: 0930 to 1700 Daily. Closed Christmas Day.

They've certainly tried to squeeze it all in here! Lounge bar, pool table, cocktails, alfresco, takeaway and fine dining. Good size servings, you can actually finish what's on your plate, leaving room for dessert. So many of the items on the menu looked fantastic but we tried and enjoyed:
* Garlic Parmesan Bread
* Prawn Pasta
* Crispy Skinned Chicken Breast
* Vanilla Creme Brulee
* Apple & Rhubarb Crumble
* Toblerone Cocktail
Taking a drive down to where the River meets the Ocean is well worth the short trip.
It is a beautiful sight, especially at sunset. The ocean is quite rough, but very good for surfing, or maybe you can just go down for a picnic.
